For over 20 years, LÉA NATURE has contributed to the development of a new model for a more natural, local, organic, affordable, healthful, consumer-friendly, efficient and profitable approach to manufacturing.
BiO’Pôle de Léa is located across from the company headquarters and constitutes a truly innovative initiative that finds its roots in the ideology of our founder. This four-hectare site features two passive solar buildings of 7600 square meters made of 70% wood.
BiO’Pôle de Léa is a perfect example of the bioclimatic architecture of the future: it faces south with an all-wood frame, ecological insulation, earthen plasters, natural coatings, green roofs, photovoltaic panels, a wood furnace, etc.
This haven of peace and quiet is protected by a large Napoleon hedge and offers a landscaped garden covering nearly 2 hectares.
Charles Kloboukoff chose to develop this new initiative to reflect his environmental and social beliefs which are based on his conviction that the natural world plays a significant role in human health and is often threatened by the agrochemical industry. Total funding for this project amounts to Euros 12 million, half of which is provided by LÉA NATURE, and the other half of which is funded through the founder’s family-held holding company.
This new eco-development offers a mix of food options, outdoor activities, sports, and relaxation that are geared towards learning, ecology and the economy.
BiO’Pôle de Léa is open to group employees, businesses, schools, recreation centers, nonprofits, external groups and the general public… this is a place for people from all walks of life, that was designed to welcome a wide range of events.
